Welcome to CyberSafe Haven

CyberSafe Haven is a safe space, dedicated to informing people on how to keep themselves safe online.

Our site features advice on Password Protection, Safeguarding your Email and Social media Accounts, Device Security and dealing with Cyberbullying

Remember to stay S.M.A.R.T online

S (Safe) - Keep safe by being careful not to give out personal information when you are online such as your email address, phone number and password.

M (Meeting) - Meeting someone you have only been in touch with online can be dangerous. Do so only with your parents' or carers' permission. If you do plan to meet someone, take a parent or carer with you.

A (Accepting) Accepting emails, IM messages, or opening files, pictures or texts from people you don't know or trust can lead to problems - they could contain nasty messages or viruses!

R (Reliable) Someone online might lie about who they are or give you false information. Information on the internet may not be true. Always check information with other websites, books or someone who knows. If you want to chat online, chat with your family and real-world friends.

T (Talk) - If someone or something makes you uncomfortable or worried, or if you or someone you know is being bullied online, make sure you talk to someone you trust about the situation. Another persons perspective can help you decide on how you should move forward
